"Django' Reinhardt

Karl Denver

My musical heroes are....

Personally I don't have 'heroes' in music

 - I regard 'heroes'  as a term for the brave.

I just like all music, but if I had to select a British singer for a hero, it would be Karl Denver with his unbelievable vocal range.

The Karl Denver Trio had a series of hits in the 1960s.

My choice for musicians...

Guitar: the two-finger wonder 'Django' Reinhardt was a Belgian-born French jazz guitarist, widely regarded as one of the greatest musicians of the twentieth century.

Banjo: Earl Scruggs, who is credited with inventing the three-finger banjo picking style, and his instrumental called Foggy Mountain Breakdown. It was featured in the 1967 film Bonnie and Clyde.

Dobro: Mike Auldridge, a guitarist who became one of the most distinctive dobro players in the history of Bluegrass. He was a founder member of the Bluegrass band Seldom Scene.

My choice for 'band of all time' would be.... Seldom Scene.
