I'm sure this has been covered, but no way to easily search for it. I understand that these are the exact same mastering as the regular version, but is there a difference in the manufacturing of the actual CD itself (I know the packaging differs slightly with the music club info on it)? I know that people argue that different pressings from different factories of the same master can sound different. Are music club CDs pressed in different plants than the originals? Do music club CDs use lower standards for the production of their CDs? In short: is there any reason to believe that music club CDs (i.e. BMG/Columbia) might be worse than the "actual" retail CD version? Or are these identical? Or, does it vary from CD to CD as to which pressing plant made the original vs. music club edition? Might some music club CDs actually sound *better*?
I didn't find the right solution from the internet.
